We've spent over £150,000 on refurbishment in the last few months and still have more to go but we couldn't have done it without the support of loads of backers: from anonymous donors to the hundreds who backed our crowdfunder campaign. We want to say a really big THANK YOU. It is so much appreciated. We'll get the Wall of Fame of crowdfunder backers on here soon, but we've been so busy lately we've fallen behind a bit. Right now we'd also like to thank #YourPintCan: In May 2017 Carling launched a nationwide campaign in partnership with Wetherspoon, to improve communities by supporting local projects, nominated by their own customers. Pubs sit at the heart of our communities and Your Pint Can Help the Community is all about partnering with our favourite locals to fund projects which mean something to the people who live in the area. For example, Your Pint Can... fund a new football pitch, mend that broken wall or paint the village hall. The potential list is endless, as long as it will have a lasting and genuine benefit to the community. From 22nd May 2017 to 31st July customers simply had to buy a pint of Carling in their local Wetherspoon, then visit www.carling.com/yourpintcan to nominate a local project. To see more updates visit: www.carling.com/yourpintcan

We have been shortlisted by Aviva community fund for funding, and we need your help!

We want to refurbish and improve the entrance to the building: replace the front doors, add some chairs and waiting space, and make the floor smoother and more accessible. We also want to restore the stained glass EMPIRE sign (from 1910) and generally make the front more welcoming. Please vote for us and help us achieve this. Thanks!

Chorley Amateur Dramatic & Operatic Society (CADOS) finish their current season at Chorley Little Theatre with the feelgood comedy musical “Our House” from 12th to 17th June.

Written by Tim Firth, writer of Calendar Girls and Neville’s Island, the show features all the biggest hits of the band Madness, including Baggy Trousers, It Must Be Love, House of Fun and more.

Opening on the 16th birthday of Joe Casey, we see the two paths his life could take on that fateful night: one path means a criminal record and social exclusion, while the other will lose him the girl that he loves. One leads to Las Vegas, the other stays in Camden Town.

An epic, fast-moving romantic comedy, with Bob Halliday as Joe, Steve Unsworth as his no-good dad, and Amy Hardcastle as Sarah, the girl he must choose to stay with or leave behind.

It’s a story of family, love, and friendship that won the 2003 Olivier Award for “Best New Musical”

CADOS are pulling out all the stops to make this a fantastic night out: co-directors Mark Jones and Paul Carr have both won awards for their last few shows, and there will be a live band accompanying the 23-strong cast.

Tickets can be booked at www.chorleylittletheatre.com, although the Friday and Saturday performances have already sold out.
