Shoppers in Chorley Town Centre were treated to a surprise song and dance on Saturday as members of Chorley Youth Theatre staged a flashmob in the town.
Around 30 kids joined in and performed the opening song from their new show, the musical comedy 13, around the market areas. The four minute routine introduced lead actor Jack Titherley as Evan, a thirteen-year-old kid moving to a new school.
With similarities to Grease and Footloose, the routine soon attracted quite a crowd, with shop-workers coming out to see what all the fuss was about.
Bystander Paul Lee said “They were really good – my daughter and I will be there on the Saturday night now”
The musical runs at Chorley Little Theatre from 13th July until 16th July, and the video of the flashmob can be seen here:
