For the first time in more than three decades, comedy legends Monty Python will perform live on stage together this year with 10 shows at the 02 Arena in London. Tickets sold out in minutes but now Chorley audiences can see the final show as it happens thanks to a new investment from Chorley Little Theatre.

Using satellite technology, Monty Python Live (Mostly) will be on the venue’s big screen on Sunday 20th July, with audiences watching events in London at virtually the same time as those in the Arena.

At a combined age of just 358, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin will once again perform some of their greatest hits, with modern, topical, Pythonesque twists.

Their eagerly awaited reunion promises to be among the biggest live events of 2014, with the final show likely to be the very last time the group perform together.

Tickets go on sale on Tuesday 29th April and are £15 from Malcolm’s Musicland, 01257 264362 or www.chorleytheatre.com. The showing will be on Sunday 20th July at 7pm, with a recorded Encore showing the next day.

This joint venture between CADOS and Chorley Empire Community Cinema is part of a new strand at Chorley Little Theatre which will include broadcasts of productions by the National Theatre and Royal Shakespeare Company as well as special events.

Chairman Ian Robinson said “We’re already the best venue around for stage shows, comedy and films, so this new investment combines all three to bring the best of the world’s live theatre to Chorley.”

Details of the National Theatre and RSC showings will be announced soon - watch this space!
